Ravista Mehra is the founder of South Asian Salon. Mehra is an Educator and Visual Storyteller based between New Delhi and London. As a creative practitioner her design practice lies in decolonising the human narrative through the interdisciplinary fields of graphic design, experiential design, and post-colonial history.

Bhavani Balasubramanyam is a visual storyteller and facilitator based between Glasgow and Singapore, using comics, illustration, and theatre to explore South Asian identity, mental health, and the occasional cameo from her cat, Kevin.

Shivani is an Indian Graphic Designer & Multimedia artist currently based in London. Her practice is passionately feminist and expressed through multiple media. Deeply narrative driven, her work is prescribed by intensive practice based research. Through it, she hopes to build a dialogue about the politics of being a woman in Indian society.

Sadhika is a student of life and, academically, has been a student of history, with a focus on gender identity and labour. She is a self-taught graphic designer and has a strong interest in storytelling, social impact, and good governance. She’s always interested in learning new things, meeting good people, and eating excellent food. She lives in Delhi and loves drinking chai no matter the season.

Shreya is a graphic designer based in India and London, specialising in speculative design, typography, and interaction design. Her design practice is centered on experimentation through research, with a deep commitment to using design to help people and spark excitement in their lives.

Guided by curiosity, Asita Singh explores where art, science, and technology meet. Her work seeks human connection through research-driven storytelling and sensory experience, with a growing interest in interaction design and installation.

Nayonika Ghosh is a visual designer/creative currently based in London. Her practice explores the idea of in-betweenness—across cultures, languages, and materials. . Observe, make and reflect - are the three ideals that inform her methodology. Interdisciplinary in nature, her portfolio spans graphic design, type design, photography, moving image, and writing.

Rian is a Norwegian-Kashmiri graphic designer. His practice combines design, writing, and research, with a strong focus on societal themes such as activism, norm-critical perspectives, multilingualism, and decolonial thought. Growing up in a Western society while being raised in a Muslim, South Asian household, duality has shaped his approach to design.

Nasreen Ahmed is a third-culture social scientist and artist with Kashmiri ancestry based between Norway and the Netherlands. Her work seeks to redefine decolonisation / reculturing of oneself, and of academia and the arts. A Criminologist by education, activist by experience and an artist at heart, her practice exists somewhere in the in-between.

Dona Pabasara is a creative strategist & advocate for youth empowerment, blending art and impact to bring global stories to life. With a background in political economics, she is passionate about projects that drive transformational change in their local communities & celebrate diverse voices.

Prashanti Aswani is an animation director, animator and illustrator based in London. Her work often revolves around themes of immigration, education, film and the female body. Her work has been featured in film festivals including SXSW, Raindance and Annecy Film Festival. Her illustration career has been beautifully written about in It’s Nice That.

Nishat Miah is a designer whose work is defined by a thoughtful balance of cultural insight and play. Her practice centers on translating the intangible into visual nuanced outcomes that hope to serve as meaningful experiences.

Sudeshna is a maker with a restless mind. A deep love for crafts, handmade processes and storytelling led her to work closely with traditional Indian textiles as a designer, researcher and illustrator. Her visual practice focuses on telling stories, primarily those associated with traditions and material culture.

Karishma Tuladhar is a multidisciplinary architectural designer and researcher based between London and Kathmandu. Her architecture philosphy centers on design emerging from its site—environmentally responsive, spiritually grounded, and rooted in community. Through her practice, she aims to foster belonging and deeper connections between people and place.

Jade (it/its) is a queer, tranarchist, poet, essayist, and teaching artist from Chandigarh, India. It is deeply inspired by, the politics of indispensability and the multimedia practice of hope. Its first full-length book 'Hold Me,' a collection of lyric essays, came out from Split/Lip Press in 2024.

Yumna Zahid is a multidisciplinary graphic artist with a passion for creating purpose-driven work. Her unconventional approach to design, rooted in unorthodox problem-solving and storytelling, inspires her to craft impactful visuals that spark curiosity and conversation.

Suhela Maini is an architectural designer and researcher based in London. Trained as an architect at Sushant School of Art and Architecture, India, she gained a wide-ranging experience across numerous studios in New Delhi and Mumbai, focusing on projects rooted in sustainable design and socially ethical practices.
